Smart Weigh Digital Kitchen Scale and Timer

Screen Shot 2014-03-08 at 11.03.37 AMThis is easily the most stylish kitchen scale that I’ve come across. The polished stainless steel top surface looks really cool and durable. The control panel is also very modern looking, although I would have prefered slightly elevated buttons – they provide you with tactile feedback and are not easily accidentally pressed. The large hole on the top part of the scale is also pretty neat visually and gives this scale the added functionality of being able to be hung for storage.

The scale is incredibly accurate, probably one of the most accurate kitchen scales out there. It measures weights up to five kilograms in 0.1 gram increments. I’ve tested it with several test weights that I have laying around (hey, I am a physicist). The scale measured all of those test weights exactly or with an error that was never more than a fraction of a percent. Unless you are doing some space age recipe cooking in a clean-suit lab, this level of accuracy will be an overkill for all of your day-to-day purposes.

The scale was easy to setup and operate. It comes with a small instruction booklet that is easy to understand and follow. One of the neat features that it has is the timer, which comes in handy when you are not using it as a scale. The scale was also very easy to clean.

If you are looking for an elegant, accurate, and very functional kitchen scale then you will not do much better than this SNT100 model. Highly recommended.
