BalanceFrom High Accuracy MemoryTrack Plus Digital Bathroom Scale
This is a very attractively built and pretty accurate scale. I’ve used it for a few days and have been really pleased with the way it works. The scale is easy to calibrate – just step on it and step off quickly, and it will be calibrated to 0.0. I’ve tested the accuracy of this scale against a couple of barbells – one 20 lbs and one 40 lbs. The readings came at 20.0 and 40.2 lbs, which means that the scale is pretty much accurate to within 0.5 %. I’ve also tested it against another scale that I use, and it gave me the same results as that one. Before weighing yourself you should make sure that the scale is placed on an even solid surface – carpets are a no no, as are the grooved tiles.
The scale looks really nice. It’s made out of a thick piece of tempered glass. The base looks silvery metallic, but it’s actually made out of plastic. The LCD screen is pretty nice and bright, and its’ easy to read. It’s not the biggest screen that I’ve seen on a bathroom scale, but it will do. One thing that I really like about this scale are its rounded corners – it will ensure that you don’t accidentally bump yourself and hurt your foot if you shuffle around in the bathroom at night.
The scale has a nice feature of displaying your last measurement. If you are tracking your weight this is very useful. However, it only works for a single user, so it is less useful for a family. The scale also comes with a decent body tape measure. These two features make it seem that this scale is ideally suited for a single person trying to lose weight or someone who is really pedantically working out on their physique.
Scale was provided free of charge for review purposes.
