Kindle Paperwhite For Dummies – Book Review

Screen Shot 2013-11-10 at 7.46.04 AMKindle Paperwhite is the most advanced of Amazon’s family of e-readers. It has combined the touch screen technology with the e-ink technology and background illumination to create a very intuitive and simple reading experience. Even though by now touch-screen devices have become ubiquitous, there are certain particulars about how Kindle handles the touch gestures, and those are important to know in order to become completely proficient at using Kindle Paperwhite. “Kindle Paperwhite for Dummies” helps you learn all these gestures, and teaches you almost everything else that you may need to know about this device. It starts by helping you choose which one of the several options may be the right one for you when deciding which Kindle Paperwhite to purchase. Some of these options (like the ad-supported Kindle) can later be changed, but the choice between the 3G and WiFi only versions is hardwired.

The book is very well written and as far as I can tell it covers almost everything that you may want to do with your Kindle. All of the explanations are very detailed, and will take you step-by-step through the tasks that you may want to do. The book also contains a lot of links and suggestions for further reading, which are all very useful.

If you are either completely new to Kindle Paperwhite, or are an experienced user who would like to learn more about all the wonderful things that Kindle lets you achieve, this book will definitely have enough information to satisfy your needs. It is also extremely competitively priced, and for this amount of money you will probably not get a better comprehensive resource on Kindle Paperwhite.
