Inateck Compact Kindle Paperwhite Cover

Screen Shot 2014-10-16 at 11.22.55 AMThe dedicated Kindle reading devices are among my favorite gadgets, and Kindle Paperwhite is as close to an ideal e-reader as they come. It is small, lightweight, responsive, and the back-illuminated e-ink screen comes tantalizingly close to the black/white contrast that you would expect from a printed page of paper. However, I’ve learned the hard way that Kindle e-reader screens are very fragile and crack easily. That’s why these days I don’t use my Kindle Paperwhite without the protective case/cover.

This is a very nice looking and well made Kindle Paperwhite Case/Cover. It is inexpensive and it gets its main purpose done well. Here are some of my main impressions thus far.

**** Pros ****

– Very compact, streamlined and lightweight design.

– Sturdy and protective case.

– Beautiful PU leather looks stylish and feels very comfortable in your hand.

– Very easy to place your Kindle in and take it out.

– Magnetic clasp easy to open and close.

– Kindle wakes up automatically when the case is opened.

**** Cons ****

– The cover does not stay in place when opened. Needs to be kept open by holding it with your reading hand. A strap or another magnetic clasp would have come in handy.

– I would have liked a small “pocket” in the inner face of the cover into which to place my hand while reading. That’s one feature that I really like with another Kindle Paperwhite case that I’ve used.
