Amazon and Sunday Parcel Delivery

Amazon just announced that they will be teaming up with the US Postal Service and start delivering their products even on Sundays – at least in the beginning in just New York and Los Angeles. This is a bold move on the part of Amazon to try to further diminish the difference between online and offline shopping experience. Amazon is a company that prides itself on operating on a razor slim profitability margins (or even at a loss from time to time), and they seem determined to squeeze every cent out of their online store.

As far as I am concerned, this is great news. Most of the mail that matters to me in fact consists of the items that I had bought online, primarily through Amazon. I was a bit peeved some time ago when the US Postal Service announced that they will be stopping the Saturday delivery in the near future. However,File photograph of Amazon.com package if Amazon keeps delivering their wares to my doorstep on Saturday AND Sunday, then I might actually come on top as far as the delivery of the mail that I care about is concerned.
