LeapFrog My Own Leaptop
Like most toddlers I know our son just loves pressing buttons and fiddling with the myriad gadgets and other consumer electronics devices we own. We’ve also bought him several of his own toy gadgets, and for the most part he also enjoyed playing with those. When we came across this toy laptop in the store it seemed like an ideal Christmas gift for our boy. (It also vaguely reminded me of the toy laptop in the movie E.T.) As we had expected, our boy loves it and keeps playing with it on a daily basis.
The toy is well designed and it looks and feels durable. The “laptop” has several different “programs,” accessible through the simple switch on the front. The programs provide various levels of interactivity and entertainment. Some of them are more suitable for younger toddlers, while others can be used all the way until school years.
Even though this is a cool gadgetty toy for the little ones, don’t expect that they’ll leave you and your gadgets alone. At best you can buy some time this way. For the price, it’s a pretty good investment in my opinion.
