INGEAR Powerful Mini LED Flashlight

Screen Shot 2014-11-10 at 3.51.45 PMLED Flashlights have by now become quite common, and they can come in handy in a variety of uses. This particular INGEAR flashlight provides a very bright and powerful illuminating light beam. It is powered by a single AA battery which makes it very convenient to use. The battery is cylindrical and non-standard shaped, and it’s not manufactured by any recognizable brand. It’s supposed to be long lasting, but without prolonged use I will not be able to judge its merits.

As already mentioned the flashlight throws one very bright light beam that can be illuminate well ahead. I’ve tested it up and down our street, and it seems to throw at least a 50 m beam of light.

The flashlight has only one beam mode. Some other similar flashlight can be used as a strobe emergency or an SOS light.

The flashlight is really well built. It’s made out of solid metal outside casing that fits well in your hand. It has a magnetized back end which can come in handy when you want to place this light somewhere in order to illuminate your work area. The flashlight looks like it could be waterproof, but I don’t see this feature mentioned anywhere and I am not too eager to test it myself.

Overall, very well designed and built small LED flashlight. There are a couple of features that could use some improvement, but otherwise it performs as advertised. 4.5 stars.
