This is a very cool little product. I often find myself needing more light while working on my old MacBook Air. Unlike the more recent MacBooks, and many other computers sold these days, that one doesn’t have a backlit keyboard. Even the computers with backlit keyboards don’t provide me with enough illumination.A simple small light like this one seems like an ideal solution for this problem. And in a way it works as advertised – you just plug it into one of the side USB ports and it starts emitting bright LED light. Unfortunately, plugging it into one of the side ports only allows for the illumination of about one third of the keyboard. Most of the keyboard still remains pretty dark. I got much better results by using a USB extension cable, and a small clip. I mounted the light on top of my computer’s screen, and that solved my problems. It really illuminated the keyboard well. I feel that this light should come with a small clip and a USB extension cable. Those two items are pretty cheap, and would not add more than a $1 to the manufacturing cost, and yet would make this a MUCH more useful and effective product.

I was also able to use this as a stand-alone light with one of my power banks. It really works for that purpose rather well.

Nice little product that with a couple minor tweaks could be a really useful item to have.
