Aerb X Armor Series Shock Proof Case W Audio Amplifier for iPad or iPad Mini

Screen Shot 2013-11-15 at 1.02.05 PMThis is a very nice and durable case for iPad. It protects your iPad from accidental bumps and drops. It is designed to withstand drops up to five feet. It has a pretty good overall design, it allows you to easily slip your iPad in and out. Almost all of your iPad’s ports are easily accessible. The case has a small kickstand on the back, which allows you to prop it up for easy reading or other uses on your desk.

In terms of protection, the case definitely feels like it could withstand all sorts of physical trauma, although I have not been brave enough to try it. The case still leaves the screen exposed, so the case will not help you if you accidentally scratch it or hit it there.

Even though I in general really like this case, there are a few things with it that make me reluctant to give it five stars:

– The case is very plain looking and not terribly attractive.

– The case is pretty heavy, about as heavy as my iPad Mini in its own right. Not sure how much of it cold have been avoidable though, given the nature of this case.

– The mute switch on the side is not very accessible.

– The back stand has three different settings/incline levels, but only one of them really works.

Overall, this is a pretty good case that is definitely well suited for giving your iPad some degree of protection.
