The Future of Physics

e-mail : contact@peterginter.comThere is a very neat article in Wired about some very important upcoming Physics experiments. It’s a very nicely written up article, with a lot of (mostly) correct information on the nature of the experiments and the technological and scientific challenges that these experiments face.  These are all very impressive experiments, and can potentially provide us with new and unexpected insights about the nature of subatomic world. However, one look at them shows that they all deal with extremely elusive and hard to work with particles – Higgs boson, neutrinos, and the still putative Dark Matter. The experiments are trying to squeeze ever more subtle effect from these exotic creatures, and that to me at least does not bode well. It was hoped that some of these experiments would provide at least a glimpse of what lays beyond the Standard Model, but that is starting to look like an increasingly wishful premise.

Over the past two decades he has studied, lived and worked in the United States. He is a theoretical physicist with degrees from Stanford and University of Illinois. Tunguz has taught physics at several prominent liberal arts colleges and has been writing about physics, science and technology for more than a decade. He also has a wide spectrum of interests, and reads and writes about current events, society, culture, religion and politics. Over the years he has reviewed many of the books that he has read, and posted his reviews on various online outlets. In 2011 he had become a top 10 reviewer on Amazon.com, where he continues to be very active. Aside from reading and writing, Tunguz enjoys traveling, digital photography, hiking, and fitness.
