PTC Premium GOLD Series HDMI Female/Female Coupler

Screen Shot 2014-12-11 at 6.22.21 PMI needed this connector in order to bridge the connection between a few unusual or non-standard cable connections. In particular, I wanted to connect HDMI sources to an old DVI-enabled TV set. For the most part the connector worked, except with the notable case of Fire TV Stick. That one would not have fully worked anyways since DVI does not support sound transmission.

The connector is well built and HDMI cables fit very snugly to both ends. There doesn’t seem to be any perceivable signal strength loss. The coupler is incredibly cheap ($1.40 as of this writing), but it is shipped directly from China so prepare to wait a few weeks before it arrives.
