PLEMO Ultra Thin 7000mAh External Battery

Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 8.54.16 AMI’ve used this charger for a few days, and have had mixed experience with it. It is slick looking and fairly compact charger. It also gets the job done – I was able to recharge both my iPhone and iPad using it. However, it does have some serious issues that prevent me from fully endorsing it.

1. Charging takes forever. It took me a few hours to charge my iPhone to just half of its full capacity. This may not be an issue at home when you can leave your phone charging overnight, but then you’ll probably have an access to a wall outlet anyways.
2. The USB plugs were really tight. I was afraid that I could potentially ruin the cables or the battery itself if I try too hard to plug/unplug them from the battery.
3. The Apple device attachments are not Apple-certified. This means that they may or may not work with an iOS device. Apple often changes their specifications with each iOS upgrade, so here you will have to proceed with caution.

Overall, this charger shows some promise, but its many flaws are too much of a detraction for me.
