NewRice portable stereo Wireless Bluetooth speaker with integrated Power Bank

Screen Shot 2015-01-16 at 11.11.58 AMI love my iPhone and iPad, but when it comes to listening to music and other audio without the help of headphones, they leave something to be desired. I have several docks, Bluetooth receivers and speakers, but most of them are either too bulky or not all that convenient for spontaneous use. This small and elegant NewRice speaker exactly fits in that niche. It is a well-designed small speaker that delivers the audio experience that punches well above its weight. It also doubles as a battery charger, and can be used to recharge your small electronics devices on the go.

One of the best features of this speaker is its sound quality. This small device can really deliver crisp, loud sound that goes well beyond what one would expect from such a diminutive device. As a single speaker that transfers music via Bluetooth there are naturally physical and technological limitations to what any speaker with these design characteristics could pull off, but aside from that this speaker really manages to impress.

The speaker was really easy to pair up with my iPhone – I just turned it on and connected to it from my system preferences menu. I have not tried using it with other devices, but I suspect that it would be equally easy to use.

Both its shape and size allow for this speaker to be easily portable. The speaker can easily be placed on any flat surface. Thanks to its fun design this speaker is very versatile in terms of its possible uses.

As an extra bonus, this speaker features a rechargeable battery supply. This is a fairly capacious power bank/external battery. 8000 mAh is enough capacity to charge most smartphones three to four times, and to fill up most tablets to full capacity at least once. I’ve tested it with iPhone 6 plus, iPhone 5S, and Galaxy S3 and the battery performed as expected with all of those devices. The battery takes about four to five hours to fill up completely, and it charges my iPhone 5S in about two hours. Ideally you would leave a battery like this one to be charged overnight.

This is a very convenient and inexpensive portable speaker/power bank that definitely delivers on its premise.
