My BioDefense UV-C Folding Portable Sterilizer and Sanitizing Wand
As one of the other reviewers mentioned, this year we’ve had a flu season from hell. I rarely get sick, and no more than once per flu season, but this year I felt like I’ve been plagued non-stop. This has really forced me to rethink how I go about my daily routines, and how cautious I need to be about touching things around me. Needless to say washing hands and sanitizing them with the sanitizing wipes has reached a new level of importance and diligence for me. However, it’s almost impossible to wash and sanitize every object that you come in touch with. This is where a small, portable UV sterilizer like this one can really come in handy.
I was really impressed with how light and compact the sterilizer is. In folded state it can fit in almost any pocket. It runs on either the AAA batteries, or by being plugged in into a USB charging port. The sterilization is really easy to do – you just turn on this small want and wave it over any surface that you want sterilized. It only takes a few second to do, or longer if you are really concerned about the germs. However, be careful – UV rays are potentially harmful, and you definitely don’t want to expose yourself to them. And you don’t want this sterilizer anywhere near children.
Without running complicated and expensive lab tests its probably impossible to tell how effective this sterilizer is. However, from my understanding of physics and biochemistry I think it has a great potential to eliminate a sizable number of microbes from your environment. I am just glad to have this tool available in my germ-fighting arsenal now.
