Liftmaster 375LM Remote Clicker Universal Remote

Screen Shot 2014-09-27 at 12.49.55 PMAbout a year ago one of our garage door openers failed because the rubberized buttons completely fell apart. As I was not really sure about how to replace a garage door opener (they seem to be very specific to the manufacturer of the garage door), we were making do with just one opener for a while. However, when that second one failed for the same reason, the time had come to finally buy a new opener. After looking around for all the available options, I settled on trying this Liftmaster model. I looked around for the best buying options, and found out that the price on Amazon was *by far* the best one I came across. I ordered the opener and it arrived in a very timely manner. Once I got it I was intimidated with the instructions booklet – it was much bigger than I had thought it would be, and the pairing process seemed very convoluted. It didn’t help that my garage uses a mechanized opener from a brand that was not listed in the instructions booklet. However, with some fiddling around I was able to pair up the remote with the garage opener, and it like a charm after that. We’ve been using it for a few weeks, and so far we haven’t had any issues with it. Its range is more than adequate for the length of our driveway, and then some.

In terms of build quality this remote seems fine, although it’s not the fanciest electronic accessory that you’ll come across. In my opinion the remote is about 50% more expensive than it should be considering its features compared to the similar consumer electronics devices. Nonetheless, it’s still a good buy as it serves its very essential purpose really well.
