I have several Bluetooth receivers that allow me to turn my old car’s audio system into a speakerphone. This Intcrown unit works differently: it is a self-contained unit that doesn’t require any interface with your car’s system. It is small and compact, and it comes with several accessories that allow you to attach it to various parts of your car. However, it can be used by itself as a stand-alone speakerphone or even a small bluetooth speaker.

Pairing of this device with your smartphone is fairly straightforward. You just turn it on initially and look for it under the Bluetooth menu of your smartphone. I was able to connect it to both Android and iPhone smartphones.

The unit worked very well as a speakerphone. The sound quality was decent, and I was able to hear the person at the other end pretty clearly. The same goes for my interlocutors at the receiving end. Most of them didn’t have any complaints about the quality of sound. However, I am still not a big fan of the Bluetooths and headsets – most of them can’t match the quality of the phone’s inbuilt speaker and microphone.

One of the nicer things about this set is that it includes a nice little USB car charger. So even when you are not using this receiver you still have a convenient charger that can help you with your other small electronic devices.

Overall this is a pretty nice unit that delivers on its basic premise. I like it.
