HooToo Wireless Travel Router

Screen Shot 2015-08-10 at 10.22.23 AMThis is a very remarkable fully functioning WiFi router. The router enables you to connect to an Ethernet cable and convert the wired Internet connection to a wireless one. This is particularly convenient when you are traveling and don’t have an access to a readily available wireless networking. The router is easy to setup and use, even for people with limited networking skills. It is still a very powerful and highly customizable router, and it offers a wide variety of networking functionality. It can, for instance, be used to setup a private ad-hoc intranet, which may come in handy when privacy concerns are important for a small working group.

The router also enables you to attach external storage via a USB port, and hence access various documents and media files on the go, or share them with a small workgroup. I have used it to stream some high-def video files to my iPad, and easily view pdf documents from it. I wish it also had an sd card slot, so that I can transfer my camera digital photos and videos to an external storage device.

Overall, this is a very thoughtfully designed travel router that could really be of use to frequent travelers. It can also be useful to small ad-hoc workgroups. Highly recommended.
