Gonex Ultra Lightweight Packable Backpack

Screen Shot 2015-01-12 at 11.13.00 AMThis is a very versatile, innovative, and convenient backpack. It is built out of pretty solid materials, and even its zippers are very sturdy – something that even the best high-end backpacks often get wrong. It seems fairly waterproof, and it’s probably a great backpack to take on a picnic or a small camping trip. It’s on small end in terms of capacity, but I was still able to fit several large books and other trinkets that I usually carry with me in a backpack. It can also be used as a laptop/tablet backpack, but since it has no padding you should be very careful about carrying more delicate objects in it.

One of this backpack’s biggest selling points is that it is completely collapsible. When fully folded and collapsed into the attached storage compartment the whole thing can fit into the palm of your hand. I am usually not very good about collapsing tents or folding clothes, but even I did not have any issues with getting the backpack to collapse in the right shape.

This could be an ideal backpack to have around in an emergency. You could keep it in the glove compartment of your car, in the seat attached storage compartment of your bike, or with your camping gear. It could really come in handy when you unexpectedly need to carry more stuff around. Another use was suggested by my wife. If you live close to a grocery store, you could use this backpack for your small shopping trips. In its collapsed form it can easily fit into a large pocket, like the ones you have on cargo pants.

Overall, this is a very nice and inexpensive versatile backpack. Recommended.
