GOgroove BlueGATE RMT Bluetooth Multimedia Photo Shutter Remote

Screen Shot 2014-11-29 at 6.31.49 PMI own several iPhone docks and external speakers. This is a great way of listening to all the music from your digital collection, or streaming Pandora, but not a convenient option when you want to adjust the volume or change the track. In such situation my options until now have been to either walk over to the iPhone and control it manually, or carry the iPhone with me and then stream the music to a Bluetooth audio receiver. This latter option has the disadvantage that the music will stop every time you move sufficiently far away from you music receiver.

This Bluetooth remote is another great option for controlling your iPhone or Android phone remotely. It is nicely designed, lightweight, and comfortable to hold. It paired up with my iPhone very easily. As a Bluetooth device it doesn’t have to be in a line of sight in order to work.

My favorite use for this remote turned out to be as a remote shutter for photography. iPhone’s camera has improved tremendously over the years, and I find myself relying on it more and more, and not just for the quick impromptu shots. I actually don’t care about selfies, but I appreciate the ability to minimize shaking while taking photos. iPhone has a great image stabilization, but there is still a lot to be set for mounting it on a tripod and pressing the shutter remotely. Thanks to this remote, I’ve been able to take some really good, clear, snapshots lately.

This is a pretty good remote, and whether you are into listening to music or are an avid amatour photographer you’ll really make good use of it.
