DBPOWER Safety Cut Proof Stab Resistant Stainless Steel Metal Mesh Butcher Glove

Screen Shot 2015-01-22 at 10.58.36 AMI’ve had a few small “incidents” with sharp knives over the years, one of which ended with me going to an emergency room. Thankfully I’ve been more careful in recent years, but I can still use some protection when cutting and slicing food in the kitchen. These gloves seem to just do the trick.

the gloves seemed really large at first, but once I put them on they fit very snuggly and comfortably. In fact, they were almost more comfortable than some winter gloves that I use. They are fairly lightweights, and don’t really impede your cutting ability, unless you are doing some really delicate small cutting.

I have not done any “rigorous” assessment of their effectiveness with withstanding knife cuts. I just used my sharpest kitchen knife and tried hard to cut them with it. No luck. It seems like they will be just fine for the amount of cutting that I do, which is not a lot.

The only slight issue that I have with these gloves is that they feel very smooth. I don’t feel that I have as much of a grip on the knife’s handle as I do with my bare hands. I feel that this is one area where there is scope for improvement over the “bare hand” approach.

The gloves are also very inexpensive. Even if you don’t think you’ll end up using them that much you might want to give them a try.

Recommended.
