Cootree Wireless in Car FM Transmitter
The first car I owned had a tape deck. For a while this seemed like a step back compared to all the new cars with a CD player, but once the mp3 players really took off I was able to just put in a wired tape adapter and connect my player to the car stereo system that way. Nothing like that was possible with the CD-player equipped cars. Some of them had an audio jack, but most didn’t support any outside music connection. Most of the cars that are sold in recent years feature Bluetooth, which comes in handy with almost all of the music devices that are sold these days. However, that still leaves out a substantial number of cars that are still in use. This is why fm transmitters are still the most convenient and universal way of connecting your audio devices to your car stereo system.
I’ve owned several Bluetooth fm transmitters. They worked fine for the most part, but had issues with pairing and turning on/off. An audio jack transmitter like this one is probably the most robust way of connecting your smartphone/mp3 player to your car’s audio system.
The fm transmitter comes with a lighter port charger, which is pretty convenient. I didn’t like all the extra cables with this transmitter, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience of very straightforward connectivity. It took me a while to find the perfect fm station that I’d like to use, but once I found it the transmitter worked like a charm.
The sound quality was pretty good. Almost as good as having a direct connection between my iPhone and my car’s audio system.
The transmitter itself is not too large and it doesn’t clutter up my car. It really helps with keeping the mess in my car to a minimum.
Overall, this is a pretty decent product that I would recommend as a convenient solution for bringing some music to your car.
