Avoitronics Divoom Bluetune-bean Ultra Portable Bluetooth Wireless Speaker

Screen Shot 2013-09-07 at 10.58.46 AMI love my iPhone and iPad, but when it comes to listening to music and other Audio without the help of headphones, they leave something to be desired. I have several docks, Bluetooth receivers and speakers, but most of them are either too bulky or not all that convenient for spontaneous use. This small and elegant Divoom Bluetone-bean speaker exactly fits in that niche. It is a well-designed small speaker that delivers the audio experience that punches well above its wright.

One of the best features of this speaker is its sound quality. This small device can really deliver crisp, loud sound that goes well beyond what one would expect from such a diminutive device. As a single speaker that transfers music via Bluetooth there are naturally physical and technological limitations to what any speaker with these design characteristics could pull off, but aside from that this speaker really manages to impress.

The speaker was really easy to pair up with my iPhone – I just turned it on and connected to it from my system preferences menu. I have not tried using it with other devices, but I suspect that it would be equally easy to use.

Both its shape and size allow for this speaker to be easily portable. It can fit in a large pocket, or it can be attached to the belt with the included buckle. The speaker can easily be placed on any flat surface, or possibly attached to something else. Thanks to its fun design this speaker is very versatile in terms of its possible uses.

I semi-accidentally stumbled upon a great, unexpected, use for this speaker: as a toy for our toddler. Our little darling absolutely loves music, and in the past we would occasionally give him one of our old iPhones to play with and listen to music. This however, has its share of drawbacks. (He keeps pressing the home button and otherwise disrupting the flow of music.) A small, portable, and extremely hardy Bluetooth speaker such as this one turns out to be a great solution to all of those problems. The speaker is small enough to be easily handled by a toddler. It is durable, and has already withstood many vicious attacks by those small teeth of his. The on/off button is not easily pressed, and most importantly we get to control the music from wherever we happen to be at the time. I’ve already made several adorable home videos of our boy dancing while holding this Divoom speaker.

This is a very convenient and inexpensive portable speaker that definitely delivers on its premise. Highly recommended.
