Avantree Dual USB 3.1 Amp 15W Car Charger for Phones and Tablets
With USB charging becoming the default option for almost all small (and some large) consumer electronics devices, it is becoming increasingly important and indispensable to have an easy access to the USB charging plugs when you travel. More and more cars nowadays come equipped with at least one USB outlet, but the older cars are still unable to provide you with that kind of charging convenience. Fortunately, there are many USB chargers out there that can plug directly into the car lighter port, and this Avantree charger definitely has a lot to offer. It is well made, fairly compact, and allows for a simultaneous charging of a smartphone and a tablet.
The dual ports are conveniently accessible and easy to use. I’ve used this charger with my iPhone 4S and first generation iPad and was really satisfied with the experience. Two USB ports are close to each other, but they don’t obstruct access to the other one while your devices are being charged. One of the ports provides 2.1 A output, while the other one provides 1 A. One of the physically distinguishing features of this charger is its slightly asymmetrical base, which serves the purpose of making it easy to unplug from your car’s charging port.
If you are using a cell phone of almost any brand these days chances are that it uses a USB charger, in which case a small car charger like this one would be an indispensable accessory to have with you as you go driving around. I would highly recommend that you keep a small charger like this one with you in your car’s glove compartment at all times.
