Aurum Cables RG59 Black Coaxial Video Cable 50 FT, F pin to F pin (Solid Core- 50 feet)

Screen Shot 2013-07-07 at 11.37.03 AMEvery year there seems to be a new standard in audio and vide cables out there. However, one thing that has endured and will likely be around for quite soem time to come, is the good old coaxial cable. It has withstood the onset of all sorts of new technologies, including the introduction of digital video format, the internet, VOIP, and the high resolution TV. It will also probably still be around when (and if) we make the transition to the 4K TV standard.

I run a fairly elaborate entertainment center, with a host of cables of different kind. I alos try to branch out the TV signal to different rooms, going down through the crawl space in order to avoid the aboveground cable clutter. When it comes to the kinds of cables that I install in the crawl space I only use the very best components as to minimize my need to go down there as much as possible – I really don’t like to fix things down there unless I absolutely have to. For those purposes this Aurum cable is a perfect solution. It is incredibly durable, really well shielded, and manufactured to the highest standards that I’ve come across. This is probably the best coax cable that I have ever owned. The gold-plated connectors ensure solid quality connection that will be corrosion free. They also look pretty cool IMHO, so if the look of your medi rack (even the parts that are not readily accessibel) matters to you, then this cable is ideal for you.

The connectors are also very easy to connect, something that in my experience is not always the case with all coaxes. The handles next to the connectors are made with the human handing in mind – just another testament to the amount of care for the detail that went into the design of these cables.

The cables come in a variety of lengths, suitable for all connecting combinations. I got the 50 foot cable which is long enough to connect two different devices in two different rooms. Even with this fairly long cable I had not experienced any signal deterioration. So far I have had no problems with it, and the picture on my big screen TV is as crisp and clear as I would have hoped for. I also did not experience any digital pixelations during the time I’ve been testing this cable.

Overall, this is a really solid cable that can be a reliable component of your entertainment system setup. Highly recommended.
