Anytime Tools LEATHER HOLE PUNCH SUPER SHARP – Product Review

Due to the ongoing economic crisis, the austerity measures, and the belt-tightening efforts to downsize our expenditures (especially those that go towards groceries), it became necessary for me to do actually tighten my belts. I looked into several various leather punching tools, and decided to go with this one, as it seemed to offer the best combination of price and versatility. This tool consists of one solid metal handle with a plastic grip, and six different hole-punching tips. The holes cover the 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, and 5 mm sizes. They are sharp and strong enough to handle a variety of soft materials, such as plastic, leather, rubber, felt, etc. Unlike the hand-grip hole punching tool you’ll need to use a hammer with this one. This makes is a slightly less convenient for quick jobs, but if you anticipate doing any kind of more involved crafts project than this is the right kind of tool for you.

The tips screw in pretty tightly into the handle. I do wish that they were labeled so I don’t have to measure them each time I need to use them, and I also wish that this hole puncher came with a case or at least a small bag in which to hold it. I tested this on three different belts, each with a different hole width and thickness. The puncher worked very well each time, although for the thicker belt it took me a bit to get the hole punched all the way through. Overall, though, I am pretty satisfied with it.
