Amazon Reviewer Hall of Fame
Today I noticed an interesting new addition to my name as it appears on Amazon’s customer profile page. Apparently I am now a “Hall of Fame Reviewer.” Until today I had never heard of this Hall of Fame, and a quick glance on the badge explanation page failed to reveal any mention of it either. I am flattered by this induction, but I would think that if this Hall of fame were really such a big deal they would ate the very least notify the inductees. I’m just sayin’.
Another thing that I noticed was the fact that the “classic” review rank was not displayed any longer. Amazon switched to the new ranking system in 2008, but for the past three years maintained the old rankings as well. They may have finally decided to pull the plug on that one. In which there will be a lot of upset classical “superrankers.” None of them probably not nearly as mad as Harriet Klausner.
