aLLreli CP00343 8GB Digital Voice Recorder

Screen Shot 2015-04-29 at 4.41.33 PMI have used several dedicated voice recorders, including the very sophisticated and capable Sony recorder. That one works really well, and I am overall very pleased with it. However, it costs much more than this aLLreli recorder and it doesn’t come with as many functions/accessories.

The quality of audio recordings that this recorder provides is very good. It can even be used for music recording, albeit with some caveats – you will not want that recording to be used for a professionally released music tracks. However, for audio recording this gadget really works exceptionally well. The recorded voice is very crisp and clear, without sounding muddy or distorted. The 360 degrees microphones were capable to pickup voices from several different directions without losing any clarity. This is particularly useful if you are recording meetings or interviews, with several different people in various locations around the room. The separate external microphone also comes in handy.

The 8 GB internal memory is more than sufficient for many hours of voice recording.

This is not the best built recorder, nor do the accessories feel all that great. It’s a fairly cheaply built device, and I am not certain how much mileage you will get out of it. I’ve used it for a few days, and so far it has worked alright, but it’s too early to tell if that will hold in the long haul.

This is a pretty well built recorder, that seems professional and durable. It’s definitely at least as capable as some other recorders in this category from better known companies. Highly recommended.
