9to5Cables USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type A Female 24/28 AWG Cable

Screen Shot 2014-04-01 at 2.20.23 PMUSB is one of the most standard cable connections available today. The USB 3.0 standard has greatly improved the performance and the data transfer speeds over the previous version, and made the USB connectivity relevant for another five to ten years. There are arguably many better standards out there for various purposes (HDMI, Thunderbolt, etc.), but in terms of its universal compatibility nothing comes close to USB.

I’ve often been in a need to extend the reach of some of my existing USB cables or ports. Many computer USB ports are located behind your computer, oftentimes against the wall or underneath your desk. Most such ports are not easily accessible, and thus remain underutilized. A male-to-female USB extender cable can help you reach those ports. It easily plugs into any of your USB ports, and at six feet of length can be strung up so that it reaches the desktop. The cable is backward compatible with the USB 2 standard, and can be used with pretty much any regular USB cable that is available right now.

I’ve really come to like and appreciate the 9to5Cables as a brand, and this particular cable stands as an example of why that’s the case. It’s a very well built cable, made out of quality materials, and it exudes reliability. It’s the kind of cable that will be used over and over again in all sorts of situations. Most incredibly, it is extremely affordable. It provides all the reliability and quality that you would come to expect from some of the more established brands, only at a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.
