3-Minute Einstein
Albert Einstein is one of the most significant scientists of all time and the intellectual giant of the 20th century thought. For several generations he’s also been the icon for what we think by the word genius, and most of today’s theoretical physics is rooted in the work and ideas that he planted a century ago. His insights and vision have inspired generations of scientists, and they will almost certainly continue to do so for a foreseeable future.
Despite Einstein’s overwhelming fame and influence, most of his ideas remain fairly obscure to the average reader. “3-Minute Einstein” aims to remedy this situation to some extent. It provides a brief account of Einstein’s life, theories, and legacy. The book is organized around short, 300 word sections, with an accompanying illustrations and several even shorter references. The explanations are very lucid and intuitive, and they only require some good old common sense for the full understanding. The book is designed as a mock scrapbook, and this helps to some extent in making this material accessible and readable. The book is printed on a high-quality glossy paper and can almost function as a coffee table book. It makes a nice little reference or can be used as a thoughtful gift.
