BrightPlay Car HD Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit

Screen Shot 2013-09-17 at 12.03.40 PMThis small and effective device promises to turn your older car’s audio system into a true modern Bluetooth enabled phone calling and music center. After taking it for a test, I can vouch that it certainly delivers on its promise.

Pairing of this device with your smartphone is fairly straightforward. You just turn it in initially and look for it under the Bluetooth menu of your smartphone. I was ale to connect it to both Android and iPhone smartphones.

The audio quality of the music that I was listening to was very satisfactory. You will not be able to get the highest quality audio from any Bluetooth receiver, no matter how advanced, but within the limits of this transmission standard this small receiver performed admirably. I’ve used it to listen to both the classical and modern radio stations on Pandora, and thoroughly enjoyed e experience.

Aside from its intended use as a car audio and voice transmitter, I’ve discovered that this tiny Bluetooth receiver is versatile enough to accommodate a variety of uses. I’ve used it with my old stereo system, and it’s also light and compact enough that it can be used to transform any pair of headphones into a wireless stereo headset.

In terms of usability and design there is a lot to commend about this Bluetooth receiver. Aside from being compact and somewhat stylish, the designers have also included with it every cable and accessory that would come in handy with this set. There is the auxiliary audio cable, audio extension cable, USB charging cable, and the car charger. The receiver can work while plugged in the charger, or, if it’s battery is well charged, by itself for as long as they’re is enough power in it.

Of course, one of the main features of this Bluetooth receiver, is its ability to turn your car’s audio system into a hands-free speakerphone. This feature worked as advertised, but I’ll admit that I am not a big fan of Bluetooth headsets to begin with, so I don’t anticipate to be using this device for that purpose a whole lot.
