Taipan Shock backpack by Booq

Screen Shot 2014-10-14 at 4.53.06 PMI have used many backpacks over the years, primarily in highschool and college, but also during my many trips. Even though I don’t have as much of a need for a backpack as I used to, I still appreciate a good one that will be lightweight and still protect most of my most precious gear.

This Booq backpack is one of the most solidly built, versatile and protective backpacks that I have come across. Its reinforced outer shell is designed to withstand all sorts of impacts. It’s still a pretty lightweight backpack in its own right, and it can carry a lot of stuff inside.

The backpack is pretty elegantly designed, especially for the modern mobile lifestyle. The protective inner laptop pocket can really accommodate most 15″ laptops, and even some that are slightly bigger. There are several other inner compartments and pockets that can help you get organized with your other electronic gadgets and accessories. However, this is still a very versatile general-purpose backpack and can be used for almost anything that you would use a backpack for.

I really like the small front pocket on this backpack that is meant for the 7″ tablets. It’s very protective, yet allows for a quick and convenient access to your small tablet. The only issue I have with it is that might be a magnet for pickpockets. I would definitely not trust it keep my tablet safe if I were to go walking around with it in some major city.

This backpacks sturdy yet lightweight design, roomy interior, and the shockproof outer shell make it an ideal backpack to have for traveling, backpacking, or any other activity where sudden impacts and bumps might be an issue. It’s also a great backpack for all other everyday uses. Highly recommended.
