Souldio HiFi Bluetooth Music Receiver Adapter
There are plenty of Bluetooth speakers and stereos out there, but if you happen to own a “legacy” stereo that is still performing really well acoustically, then you are out of luck when it comes to streaming audio from your favorite portable media device to it. This is where this Souldio Bluetooth music receiver comes in. It is small, portable, and it works with your regular audio cable jack. I was able to pair up my iPhone pretty quickly. The sound quality was pretty impressive – I think that the Bluetooth standard has come a long way since its early iterations. A dedicated audio wireless network will still give you the best results, but for most practical purposes Bluetooth works rather fine.
The theoretical range for this receiver is about 30 feet, but in most practical situations you may max out at about 20 or so. For listening to the music streaming from your smartphone in the same room this is more than fine.
The receiver is charged through a regular micro USB cable, but you’ll have to provide your own power supply. The receiver has a small LED light which indicates charging and different music input modes. The light is pretty dim and for the most part it is not very intrusive. However, you might want to unplug the receiver if it’s located in your bedroom – at night even the small amount of light can be pretty distracting.
The receiver worked pretty well for me. I didn’t get to use the SD card option that much, since you really don’t have much control over the tracks that are played. The music quality was pretty good, but it will ultimately depend on the quality of your audio equipment.
Overall, this is a pretty neat device that serves its purpose rather well.
