Rocketek 4 Slots USB 3.0 SD/MicroSD/MMC Card Reader / Writer

Screen Shot 2014-04-26 at 11.20.54 AMThe USB 3.0 revolution has almost completely taken over the data transfer computer slots. However, many of the memory card readers have not kept up with the pace of new developments. Furthermore, there is still no single standard memory card size. Most computers, if they even come with a memory card reader, are usually limited to a single standard SD card slot.

This little USB 3.0 card reader is a very versatile and convenient way of transferring most of your digital files from the small memory cards onto your computer. It is compact and effective, and it features very fast transfer rates.

The USB stick features four different card slots for different external memory card types. Almost all current small data cards are supported. The card reader can read up to two different cards at the time. The various memory cards that are supported include: SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC, MMCplus, MicroSD, MicroSDHC, MMCmobile, RS-MMC, and can support with adapters miniSD, MiniSDHC, and MMCmicro.

I’ve tested the card reader on both my Mac and Windows computers, and it worked without a hitch with both. The transfer speeds were really impressive, especially when I was transferring my HD videos.

The card reader is fairly compact, and it features protective covers at both ends of the stick. The stick seems to be fairly well made and durable. I would not necessarily take with me to a war photography assignment in Afghanistan, but for most everyday purposes it will more than do.
