Quiet Contour Ear Plugs

Screen Shot 2014-11-17 at 11.15.58 AMOver the years I’ve come across several recurring situations where excessive noise disturbs my sleep or has a potential to cause serious hearing damage – crying baby, railroad close to your home, mentally unstable neighbor, mowing the lawn on a riding mower, working in a noisy workshop, air travel, etc. All of these situations have convinced me that good earplugs are a necessary item to have around. I have tried several types, including some really technically sophisticated ones, but in my experience these Quiet Comfort ones are probably the best I’ve come across.

The earplugs are fairly inexpensive, although not as cheap as some other ones I’ve seen. They are well made, soft, and easy to use. The special contour helps make them both easy to insert in your ear, as well as resilient to most outside noise. The plugs are comfortable enough to wear all night while you sleep, as I’ve experienced many times already. This set comes with a small carrying case, which really comes in handy when you are traveling and don’t want to take the whole package along. They block out most of the low-level noise, but some of the really loud noises will still seep in.

Highly recommended.
