Neat-Oh Lifesize Barn Playset

Screen Shot 2014-09-01 at 3.25.26 PMThis is one of the more fun and entertaining playsets that I’ve come across. The main reason for this, of course is its size – this playset is ideal for toddlers and kids to get fully immersed in. At danger of coming across as overly pedantic, however, I’d like to point out that this playset is definitely NOT the size of an actual barn – you’d need an oversized delivery service for something of that size. The playset is in fact just over 4 feet tall, and the barn door is about three feet in height. This is sufficient for little boys and girls to play with, but school age kids will probably find it constraining. In fact, I believe that the set is ideal for a slightly younger audience than it is recommended for, all the way down to perhaps two years of age or even younger.

The playset is made out of fairly durable cardboard. It was relatively straightforward to assemble, and it felt sturdy enough when set up upright. However, like anything made out of cardboard, it has a fairly short expected lifetime. This is particularly the case if it will be used by rough toddlers and even more so if set up outdoors. Setting it up indoors would be a preferable options, but due to its size this might not be easily pulled off.

Our toddler enjoyed playing with this set. He particularly liked opening and closing the doors and going through them. This is in the end a fun set that can be enjoyed thoroughly by most kids.
