HDE 8 Inch Silver Tripod
This is not the most versatile tripod that you will come around, but at its price point and for limited functions it is still a great deal. I’ve used mine primarily with a small smartphone mount, and it has worked perfectly. The tripod works the best when its legs are not extended at all, since it doesn’t have to be adjusted.
The tripod is built out of anodized aluminum and feels pretty sturdy. In terms of build materials it’s certainly an improvement over the plastic tripods that I otherwise use. However, in terms of flexibility and convenience I’d recommend a gorilla pod.
