1byone 4000mAh Extended Battery Case for Samsung Galaxy S6

Screen Shot 2015-08-28 at 11.07.50 AMThe battery life of Galaxy S series of Android smartphones has increased over the years. But unfortunately with the latest generation Galaxy line has taken a step back, going from 2800 mAh to about 2550 mAh. However, there has also been a steady stream of improvement in the Android software designed to make it more energy efficient. All in all though, I am rarely able to go for more than a day without recharging my phone, even with a very light telephony use. I have several external batteries and power banks that I carry around with me at all times, but they can be annoying to pull out and use, especially if I am constantly on a move. Unfortunately, with S6 Samsung also killed one of the big advantages of Android phones over the iPhones: replaceable internal battery. 1byone battery case is now an ideal product to have for Galaxy S6 power users, but only if you don’t mind the extra bulkiness that it provides.

The 1byone Case looks and feels very well designed. It sits comfortably in your hand, although you will certainly notice the extra bulk. All of the S6’s ports and controls are easily accessible. The case channels the audio output from phone’s own speakers to the small speaker-like openings of its own. The case was easy to use, and S6 slides into it very easily.

The 4000 mAh battery capacity is substantially larger than S6’s own battery, and it’s on par with some high-end Android phablets, such as the Galaxy Note line. Use of this 1byone Case will more than double the lifespan of your S6. Charging itself was very quick and effective. The back cover features a very handy battery capacity indicator in the form of four small LED lights. This is a very accessible way of ascertaining the battery’s total charge while on the go.

Overall, the case has been very effective and has enabled me to go for days without the need to recharge. So far it has not failed me in any way. I do wish it looked a bit more stylish, but this is a minor issue as far as I am concerned.
